The ePHC clinics are the key points of contact for the indigenes. Each clinic will be sited within walking distance for most users. The clinic’s connection to the community will be evident in its layout, which we have designed to be easily accessible for public entrances. The community-based clinics have facilities physically separate but administratively attached to a Hub.
Each clinic is thought of as a simple physician’s office that provides primary care. Typically this care consists of:
- Initial assessment of patient needs;
- Health promotion and disease prevention; and
- Referral to other levels of care.
The clinics are made from durable pre-fabricated material, which offers a low-cost and efficient solution when compared to brick and mortar clinics that have been the norm in this area. The interior provides a conducive environment for both medical personnel and patients to interact.
